You’ve finally done it. You deleted your social media accounts, and you’re off the grid. So what do you do now? What to do with your time after deleting social media can seem like a daunting task.

All of the sudden, there’s so much time to fill up. No more mindless scrolling Tik Tok, or stalking your ex on Instagram. When you make the switch, it’s imperative that you fill your time with activities that further your personal development.

  2. Exercise is proven to have a positive impact on metal health. Quitting social media is a big life change, and improving your mental state will go a long way towards ensuring success.

Pick Up a Book

Remember those piles of books you’ve been meaning to read but never had the “time” for? Say goodbye to social media distractions, and hello to the world of literature.

Reading is a way to strengthen your mind. It improves your cognitive function, boosts your vocabulary, and leverages critical thinking skills.

Reconnect with Nature

Instead of staring at your screen, try staring at the beauty of nature. Go for a hike, take a stroll in a nearby park, or just sit quietly in your backyard and appreciate the surroundings.

Nature has a calming effect on our minds, which helps us be present in the moment.

Join a New Club

Think about it, when was the last time you pursued a new interest or met new people? Joining a club is a great way to get out of your comfort zone and make connections beyond the virtual world.

Whether it’s a book club, gardening group, chess league, or a running club, there’s something out there for everybody.

And if there isn’t? Consider starting one! Starting a club is a great opportunity to increase your accountability and leadership.
